Calculator Policy
The
Department of Mechanical Engineering has adopted a
policy whereby only certain makes and models of calculators
are allowed during examinations. This is to provide
a level playing field for all students and preclude
devices with large text storage and communications
capabilities.
The
approved calculators are listed, which follows the
policy of NCEES,
administrator of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam
(FE) and Principles and Practice exams (PE) for Professional
Engineers.

HP 33s, HP 9s
Casio
– FX 115 ES, FX 115 MS, and FX 115 MS Plus
Note: FX 115 ES
and FX 115 MS models ending with an "-SR"
designation are also allowed.

Instruments – TI 30XA, TI 30X IIS,
TI 30X IIB, and TI 36X Solar
