Professional Activities
For the past 18 years, my professional activities have concentrated on the teaching and learning of mathematics. I have been a participant in the Washington Center Calculus Consortium Workshops from 1991 - 1996, with emphasis on the reform of mathematics curricula through use of appropriate technology, collaborative learning, and varied assessment methods. I have been involved in the planning and presentation of workshops on mathematics for elementary and secondary teachers and am currently participating in the newly formed Teachers of Teachers of Mathematics in Washington state.
I am particularly interested in sharing teaching and learning ideas with others through regional and national workshops and regular participation in Mathematical Association of America Section Meetings, the annual Washington Community College Mathematics Conferences, and the Puget Sound Women's Math Network.
