Research

  • Topology: Heegaard Splittings of (Klein Bottle) x S1
  • Work with Todd CadwalladerOlsker on map colorings on different surfaces
  • Often, mathematics can be used to create beautiful art.  Recently, I have been experimenting with Excel to create mosaics.

Previous Experience

My last teaching experience was as a Teaching Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Arizona.   While I was there I taught a variety of class, instructed undergraudates on the finer points of peer instructorship (VIGRE UTA and Math Sense), and introduced an undergraduate to research in mathematics(VIGRE URA, Dub Gaberdiel's report (.pdf)).
