  Study: Chapters 1 & 2, Section 10.2 for Test 1 (Friday, Oct. 9).  See the review sheet 

                     handed out in class.  Try all the review problems, including Sect 10.2 # 1-9 odd.

  Quiz 2: Friday, October 16, at the beginning of class (on Sections 10.2 and 10.3)
